Hello to all parents/caregivers and families,
I hope you all had a lovely, restful Christmas and summer break with your child/children, family and friends.
Now we're back into school for the year, starting off well for Term 1.
I wish you all the best for a great year and look forward to meeting you if I have not already as well as teaching your child and giving them the best possible education I can.
Regards, Ms Clark

Maths - Graphs
On Friday 7th March, we did Statistics with our question being "What is Room 16's favourite fruit". Each child drew a picture of their favourite fruit and then we came together and shared what our favourite fruit is. Then we stood and made a "human graph" to show our results.
Watermelon had the most children say that it was their favourite fruit and the least favourite fruit were plum, pear, orange, mango, grape and passionfruit as only one child liked each one.
We've also been looking at words used in statistics, for example; most, least, tally marks, data, graphs, pie graphs, bar graphs, y axis and x axis.
Below is a picture of our "human graph".

Water Safety (Topic & Health & P.E.)
Room 16 was lucky enough to have the use of life-jackets for a couple of weeks and we learnt about making sure we had a life-jacket that fitted correctly, feeling comfortable wearing it (through floating) and how we can survive if we were to fall out of a boat.
